Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Title: Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager
Department: Operations
Reports to: CEO

SUMMARY:

Manages quality systems, inspection operations, and continuous improvement projects. Promotes a disciplined quality culture and develops improvement strategies to support business goals. Works cross-functionally to plan, execute, and sustain business process improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Maintains the Quality System and promotes standard work discipline throughout the company
  • Develops procedures and work instructions to standardize business processes and sustain improvements
  • Maintains compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other required quality system standards
  • Leads corrective and preventive actions to identify root causes of problems and implement effective, sustainable solutions
  • Ensures effective change control for documents and production processes
  • Evaluates product returns and initiates improvements to reduce customer disappointments
  • Leads internal audits, supplier audits, and periodic management review to assess performance and identify quality risks
  • Develops control plans, inspection checklists, and quality standards for manufacturing
  • Performs measurement system and process capability studies and analyzes results
  • Develops processes for effective control, dispositioning, and resolution of non-conforming material
  • Maintains key quality metrics and initiates improvements to address performance gaps
  • Leads projects to improve quality and efficiency of production operations
  • Monitors supplier quality performance and collaborates with the Supply Chain team to drive improvements
  • Supports Lean Manufacturing planning and deployment
  • Leads the plant Safety Committee
  • Develops and conducts quality training

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Familiarity and expertise with Microsoft business data products, including Power BI, Power Query, SQL, VBA, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Business Central preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or College certificate in Information Technology Solutions, Reporting Systems and Database Development or related field with 3+ years prior experience
  • Intermediate MS-SQL skills using queries and stored procedures
  • Analytical mindset with an ability to gather, organize, and analyze large amounts of information so that specific business questions are answered
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact across all departments of the company
  • Self-starter with a capability to learn, prioritize and organize effectively with moderate supervision from a team
  • Capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in manufacturing industry is an asset
